Multi-Faith Space in OAK-319 Has Relocated as of February 17, 2026

The multi-faith space in the SCC (Oakham House - OAK 319) has moved to SCC 309 & SCC 310–right at the top of the 3rd floor stairs in the SCC. Click here to view a map showing the new space within the building

As a reminder, the Multi-Faith Space Schedule and Code of Conduct is still in effect in the new space.

From February 16 until March 20, additional multi-faith space can be accessed at the following location on campus:
  • International Room at the ILC (Main floor, 240 Jarvis St). Drop in access with OneCard. Open 12 PM – 12 AM, February 16 – March 20, excluding March 11.
Why did the multi-faith space move?
  • Student Concerns: Our student community has expressed issues with the existing multi-faith space in OAK 319 relating to accessibility, a lack of communal space, and heating/cooling issues. Moving the space to the SCC will allow for two dedicated rooms near the main SCC elevator, a proper communal area, more reliable climate control, and regular support from TMSU front desk staff.
  • Health & Safety Concerns: The current multi-faith space faces significant health and safety challenges, including capacity issues, narrow hallways that provide no communal space for students, and a blocked fire door and accessible lift due to crowding and personal items left in the hallway. The age of the building has also created structural concerns, including bowing floors.
